How to Install the Convergence Modification for the Elden Ring
The Elden Ring: Convergence Mod is one of the most eagerly awaited mods for the game because it provides a gameplay experience that has been fundamentally reworked from the very beginning. There are hundreds of new spells and abilities, 27 new classes (each with their own unique loadout and starting location), and countless other changes that have been made to Elden Ring that completely rework how players approach the Lands Between. The game is now in its Alpha state. However, before players can get too excited, they need to first learn where to download the Convergence Mod content and how to install it properly. The installation process for the Convergence Mod is significantly simpler than that of other mods for Elden Ring; in fact, the installer does not even inquire about the location of the player's game. To successfully install the Convergence Mod, however, there are a few specific steps that must be taken, so make sure to follow this guide closely. Where Can I Download the Elden Ring Convergence Mod? NexusMods is the primary location from which one can obtain the download for the Convergence Mod for Elden Ring. Even though NexusMods provides its own proprietary Mod Manager, using it is not required in order to use the Convergence Mod.
1. Convergence ER Downloader, which is the standard and highly recommended file, and Convergence ER 1
2. 2, which is essentially a beta version of a more recent version of the mod, should both be available here
3. Convergence ER Downloader is the option you should select because the regular download is more reliable than the beta download
4. After creating an account on NexusMods, you will need to wait a few seconds, and then manually install the Convergence ER Downloader somewhere on your personal computer
5. Instructions On How To Put In Place The Convergence ModTo begin the installation process for the Convergence Mod, simply double-click the Convergence ER Downloader file
6. This action should cause an entirely new application to launch
7. The Convergence Mod requires a location to unpack the mod's files; however, before you press the Browse button to locate a folder, it is recommended that you first create a new folder that will be used exclusively for the Convergence Mod
8. Make a new folder for Convergence anywhere on your personal computer (although it is recommended that you do so in a folder that is solely devoted to Mods)
After it has been made, you will need to return to the Convergence Downloader, press the Browse button, and then choose that folder as your destination. To complete the installation of Convergence, click the Download and Unpack button. Once the process of updating and unpacking the Convergence Mods files has been completed, navigate to your dedicated Convergence folder (and open the new ConvergenceER folder) to locate an executable file titled launchmod_eldenring. Click on this file to activate the ConvergenceER mod. Launch Elden Ring from within this executable file rather than through Steam if you want to play the Convergence Mod. If you want to have quick access to the Convergence mod, you should make sure to create a shortcut to this executable file and then drag it onto your desktop. Even though it does not launch through Steam, it does need Steam to be running in the background in order for it to launch properly. Before you start the Convergence Mod, you should create a backup of the files you've saved in the vanilla game (which can be found in the Elden Ring folder located in C:/Users/yourname/Appdata/Roaming).
Playing in the Offline mode is recommended, both to reduce the likelihood of being banned for engaging in inappropriate behavior and to make load times more manageable overall. Only PC users will have access to the Elden Rings Convergence Mod.
