A Farming Guide for the Resurrected Countess in Diablo 2

The Countess is one of the first bosses that you should consider farming for her loot. You have the option of beginning in Normal mode and making use of her additional rune drops in order to acquire the highly prized Stealth Runeword. This bonus drop will include an additional 0–3 random Runes in addition to her normal boss monster drop. By farming her on any difficulty, you have the chance to obtain a wide variety of Runewords.

The Key of Horror is the only creature that will drop from The Countess

1.  Not only is it required to produce Portals for the encounter with Uber Tristram, but it is also the only creature that will drop from her

2.  Because of this one-of-a-kind content at the end of the game, you will have access to the Hellfire Torch

3.  Act 1 of Black Marsh takes place on the fifth level below The Forgotten Tower, which is where the Countess makes her home

Why do you want to bury The Countess? Because she drops an additional rune item, The Countess is appealing to a number of players for no other reason. Outside of the runes, the Countess is the only person who can provide the Key of Fear. Those who want to take on the Ubers are the only ones who have a reason to farm The Countess, and that reason is to obtain this key.

Where is it that I can find The Countess? The search for The Countess requires the completion of a number of tasks. Let's separate them into the Black Marsh, the first four levels of the Tower Cellar, and the fifth level of the Tower Cellar.

Marsh of BrownWithin the Black Marsh, there is a possibility that you will find the ruins of an old tower. They show up anywhere on the map at any given time, but the tower almost always appears near one of the map's borders. Within the ruins, you'll find the entrance to the Forgotten Towers; following it will bring you to a small area where you have the option of making one more side trip before continuing on to Level 1 of the Tower Cellar. Cellar and Levels 1-4 of the TowerThe Tower Cellar on Levels 1–4 of the Tower. Places with a normal difficulty level are typically quite congested. As one advances through the game and takes on more difficult challenges, such as those found in Nightmare and Hell, the scale of these locations significantly increases. Let's take a look at certain parts of the Map Reading Guide so that you can make the most of your journey through this area. When you enter any one of the four divisions, you are placed in a map tile that has only one exit available to you. If you imagine your character going in that direction, the next tower cellar level is always to the left of where they are currently standing.

If you are searching for The Countess, it will be easier for you to find her if you are familiar with the appearance of the exit tile you are looking for. There are also four Exit Tiles and four Entrance Tiles that correspond to them:

Instruction and TechniquesA Chain For The MinionAll of the boss's minions are tethered to a leash that is attached to the Elite-Groups or Super Uniques boss

  • This leash surrounds the boss

  • You may be able to trick the Minions into entering the next chamber, where you will be able to attack them just as they begin to retreat back towards the Countess

  • The fact that she won't leave the area where she spawned makes this very easy for her to accomplish

  • Take advantage of the fact that you or your mercenary do not have the strength to directly confront them for as long as it lasts

  • Settings for Individual PlayersWhen attempting to kill The Countess, it is essential to have a sufficient number of players in your party

  • The number of players that you should ideally have in your game (or simulate with the /players command in Single Player) varies depending on what you want to accomplish with it

  • Running a farmWhen trying to acquire Diablo 2 ladder runes, it is to your advantage to have as few people as possible in your party

  • You have the best opportunity to maximize the chance that she will drop an additional rune for you with either one or two players (or players 1 or 2 in Single Player)

This is because she has a greater chance of not using up all of her normally dropped items, which is due to the fact that she has a larger inventory than usual. Agrarian FundamentalsThere is a better chance of finding the Key of Fear if there are more people playing, so that's a plus. Since these things are on her standard item drop table, you want her to drop as many of them as she possibly can. When there are 7-8 other players online (or /players 7-8 if you are playing in single player), the chances of getting one of these items are at their highest. Exceptional VaultsThere is a reasonable chance of finding a Super Chest on any of the first four floors of the Tower Cellar. It is worthwhile to open these, especially on the Hell difficulty setting, when they appear on certain grid locations on the map.
